Schools for the Deaf
Almost every state has a school for the deaf. Deaf and hard of hearing students often go because the faculty and staff sign and all of their peers have some degree of hearing loss, like themselves. Those schools often offer boarding facilities for students who have to travel further than an hour away from home to attend in order to accommodate a statewide selection of students.
