About CCDHH
The CCDHH is run by a Board of Directors who oversee the larger operation of the Center, while the administration and staff take care of everyday operations. Employing five main programs and several smaller initiatives, the CCDHH serves over 107,000 deaf, hard of hearing, late deafened, and deaf-blind individuals in Manatee and Sarasota counties. The increase in quality of life for deaf people in general is important in order to increase further participation in society at large as intelligent, contributing citizens.
The Center hosts activities and community events in addition to providing the lubricant that keeps the community running and functioning alongside and within larger society through interpreters, specialized telecommunication equipment, advocacy, and case management.
